I Don’t Think Quicktime Is So Fast.

I am not sure what Quicktime is but it is loaded on my computer. My husband told me it came with my camera. I asked him, “Do I Need Quicktime On My Computer?” Every time I am trying to pull up files the Quicktime menu pops up and I have no idea why. If I exit out of Quicktime my computer seems to run faster. I must be bypassing whatever Quicktime does. I have a HP desktop. I read somewhere that Quicktime was to do was the media player on Mac computers. I have read a few articles about Quicktime. Many of the articles claim there are a lot of problems with Quicktime and desktops. One article I read says that Quicktime is perfect for playing Quicktime movies and video files. Sometimes Quicktime interferes with other media player software and should be turned off while using other media players to avoid the lag and error messaging. It does work great for downloading and viewing the movies I took on my camera. It keeps putting my pictures into slide shows. I really don’t like that. I want to have them in their own individual file. Quicktime is slowing me down.
